Severely Disabled Chicken Coupe

Description
Doc Lavinder was a disabled drag-racer who raced
Division 6 drag-strips in this 1935 Nash Lafayette
Coupe promoting the "ABILITY in Disability" 1990-
1997. The race car was displayed in the NHRA Museum
in Pomona, CA for 10 years.
Silverton High School Automotive classes have been
the care-takers since.
The car has handicapped equipment and a roll bar
that is hinged to allow entry into car. Also has
5-point harness and window nets. I am looking for a
disabled driver who wants to promote their own
ABILITY at the drag-strip.
The car has a 440 Mopar motor bored .60. It has a
steel factory crank and six pack rods with ARP 2000
bolts. The pistons are TRW and the cam is a
hydraulic. The transmission is a 727 with a manual
shift body and the differential is a 9 inch Ford.
The Shop teacher's name is Butch Stetson and he can
answer any mechanical questions about the car. He
can be reached at: (503)829-8710.
You can see the story of Doc Lavinder and see the
original building process at

I am asking $40,000 - OBO
