Description
1965 Chevelle drag car and an 18 foot dovetail car hauler. This is an all steel car except the hood and bumpers. It still has factory windows that do roll up and down. The car was built for NHRA S/ST class and is very consistent. The car leaves very hard, wheels in the air and goes straight. This car is very easy to drive and will make a great race car for someone. To date the best ET is as follows: 1/8th mile times: 6.61 on motor and 6.14 @ 110 on 1 stage. 1/4 mile times: 10.47 @ 125 on motor and 9.87 @ 130 on 1 stage. It runs 1.50 60 foot on motor and 1.30 60 foot on 1stage. Car: 2x3 frame from firewall back, coilovers with ladder bars, ford 9" with spool, 5:13 gears and Summers Bros axles. Rear height is adjustable. Has MT 14x32 slicks but can hold a much larger tire with different backspacing. Car has a 12 point cage with X in doors and behind driver. The car is NHRA certified to 8.50. Interior is done in aluminum with 1 race seat and 5 point harness. The car has autometer gauges, Hurst shifter, MSD 7AL-3, MSD 2 step, and an MSD timing retard. It has a 5 gal fuel cell with 2 fuel pumps (1 for N2O). Line lock.
Engine: 406 ci, block is Lunati and is filled. Callies crank, Lunati solid roller cam, Brodix aluminum heads (unported,still lots of power to be found), Brodix intake, Barry Grant carb, H-beam rods, Lunati pistons (12.5:1), Billet main caps and all bolted together with ARP bolts. New: Mini starter, hooker headers, MSD distributor, MSD 8.5 wires.
Transmission: TCI powerglide with a Pro brake, TCI 5500 stall converter, TCI flywheel.
Included: 2 N2O bottles, original chrome bumpers, fiberglass trunk lid, 18 foot dovetail car hauler.
