Description
This car was built in 1963 and was run in A/Altered class in northern California for many years. It has had many upgrades since the original form. Through the years it was raced in A/Altered, Super Comp (1987 thru 1989) and Nostalgia Hot Rod class in vintage drag races. To my knowlege the quickest and fastest it ever ran was 8.50 et / 150 mph. In the current configuration it runs 10.00's and 130 mph. Engine - Chevy BB 427 .060 over bore, steel crank, Ross 12.5/1 pistons, Merlin heads w/stainless valves, Clay Smith cam and kit, Weiand Team G w/Holly 750 carb reworked to flow 850 cfm, Davis Step Headers, MSD 6AL Ign., Powerglide racing trans w/5500 stall convertor, Olds rear end with 4.88/1 gears, new cooling system and fuel cell (Jaz), Vintage 12 spoke magnesium front wheels, rack and pinion steering. Great car for nostalgia and bracket races.
