Description
Monster Miata track car. This is my second Monster Miata. My daily driver is an MM also. Liked it so much that I built one just for the track. All smog equipment, headlights removed [still have them in a box] ditto for wiper motor, and door windows. Most of the wiring eliminated as well as heater. Car has brake lights and directionals. Factory hardtop, Autopower rollbar with extra bracing, fire bottle, new comp belts, racing seat, the full Monster Miata conversion [www.monstermiata.com] plus some extra engineering touches. Lots of time went into project. Auxiliary radiator with fan in trunk for enduro's. I ran a 427 SBF stroker in it with NASA and Shelby Club but snapped a rod and grenaded the engine [a $6000 mishap] so put a mild 302 in it. Currently spending most of my time running a Radical Prosport and a Coleman Late Model set up for road racing so no time for the MM. Martin Wilson [www.monstermiata.com] did all the basic work on both my MM's, K member mods, engine bay mods, Wilwood brakes, T-Bird diff, HD driveshaft, struts/shocks, Ford racing clutch, etc. I added some engineering features for strength and safety on the track car. Current 5.0 HO in the car came out of a clean '90 Mustang with about 75,000 miles. Compression checked out OK so put a new aluminum intake on it, new Demon carb, new timing chain [since I had the front cover off] and new HEI distributor. Not as fast as the 427 but still plenty of power. After getting used to the car, I would freshen the engine with some total seal rings, a hotter cam and a valve job. Would cost $15,000 to duplicate. Selling for $10,000 - basically for the cost of the car, the accessories and the conversion. The engine and new equipment on it are a freebie. Steve, ofc # 619-238-3535; email: [email protected].
