Description
Legends Race Car with a 5/8 scale, 1937 Chevrolet body
Set up for autocrossing, time trials and road racing.
This car was originally used as a school car for giving people a first hand experience in driving a racecar on an oval track. It has 32 hours showing on the engine meter and runs VERY strong. Originally designed for primarily left turns, this car now turns right and left with confidence and is very competitive. The engine is a 1200 cc Yamaha with 5 speed sequential transmission in a car that weighs about 1100 lbs. This is a better weight to horsepower ratio than a Viper! The engine has supplemental forced air-cooling and the oversized oil cooler with large fan.
The suspension set up uses fully adjustable coilovers on all 4 corners. Front brakes are disks and rears are drum. A brake proportioning valve and stop light switch are included. The cab has a full door and removable steering wheel making entry and exit very easy.
The body is fiberglass and had a full custom paint job last year. The frame is a full steel bar and tube that completely surrounds the driver. Safety equipment include a fuel cell, battery disconnect switch, fuse panel and fire extinguisher. Comes with Goodyear slicks and twin mufflers (<90 db). Instrumentation includes a memory tachometer, oil pressure and temperature gauges and cooling fan indicator light.
****NOTE: This car has a pre-Y2K chassis and cannot be made to meet the INEX specifications used in Legends circle track racing.****
Lots of spare parts including: 3 differentials (one is limited slip), extra shocks, springs, mesh windshield, chrome rims and tires and more.
