Description
Regarded by many to be the "last of the great Rolls Royce motorcars". Also said to be the most reliable. This car was originally owned by famed author John O'Hara, author of such classics as "Pal Joey, "From The Terrace", and "Butterfield 8. Mr. O'Hara drove Elizabeth Taylor to the Oscars (which were then in NYC) in this car where she was awarded best actress for her role in "Butterfield 8" (screenplay by O'Hara, then of Princeton, NJ). Mostly original and in fine cosmetic and mechanical condition. Runs beautifully. Newly restored : entire brake system, air conditioning, exhaust system, radiator, carburetors, hoses, belts, tune up, etc. New Wilton carpets, trunk mats, sheepskin overlays. Biography of Mr. O'Hara shows pictures of him with John Steinbeck and Bennett Cerf standing beside this car in NYC.
This is an exceptionally satisfactory touring car. Approximately 95,000 pampered miles.
Certain to delight any serious collector. Own a gorgeous piece of history for $59,500.
