This vehicle is located in Canton, MA 02021. 1965 Shelby Cobra Replica - Factory Five Racing (FFR) Just in time for the spring. For sale is a Factory Five Racing 65 Roadster Mk II. I built this car in 2004 and I am sad to say that it is time to part ways with it. The reason I am selling is because I have decided to switch gears and purchase a motorcycle. Believe me if I could keep both, I would. This car is in mint condition and was built from the ground-up. It features a supercharged, fuel injected 5.0 (302ci) engine that was completely rebuilt. I decided to go with fuel injection because I wanted to be able to just get in it and drive without having to warm it up or fool around with the carb. The supercharger is a Powerdyne that runs at 6.0psi. It has a GT-40 intake with a 65mm throttle body and 25psi injectors. FFR says that with a stock 225hp 5.0 this car with do 0-60 in 4.6 sec. By my estimates it has about 300hp+ now. You can imagine what it would do 0-60 in at this point. All this power is handled through a rebuilt T-5 5-speed manual transmission and 8.8 inch Ford rear-end rebuilt with 3.55 gears. Doing 0-60 in less than 4.5 sec is great, but being able to stop it might be even better. This car features a new manual brake system with front disc and rear drums. The calipers and rotors are new as well as the rear drums. All of the tubing is stainless steel as well. This car handles like it is on rails. It has coil-over shocks at all four corners. The wheel and tire combo is 17x8 inch Chrome Cobra-R�s wrapped in 245/45/17�s in front and 275/40/17�s in the rear. The body is fiberglass and is covered in ruby red metallic paint. This paint job is beautiful and absolutely sparkles in the sun. Please keep in mind though that this car was drive for four years, so there are some small chips on the lower body. The car is covered in chrome. Everything from the window trim to the side and rear view mirrors are new. I replaced them with new pieces instead of what FFR provided. The replacement pieces are higher quality chrome. This car was covered and garaged at all times and was never driven in bad weather. You can imagine my pain as I live in New England. I have well over $38,000 invested in this car, and reserve is set much lower than that. Who ever wins the auction will be getting a great deal.
