Description
Flawless paint, dark blue frame, pearl white body with blue lettering and numbers. Engine is a stock Chrysler 225 ci. Slant 6 with all internals being original stock OEM parts. The engine had 50,000 original miles and was freshened up (not rebuilt) when put into this vehicle. The transmission is a stock Chrysler 727 Torqueflight 3-speed automatic. It has a 9 Ford rear end with 3:08.1 gears with coil over shocks, 40link and anti-sway bar holds the vehicle stable. The chassis/frame was built by Competition Welding (late 1980s) and is made of Chromoly tube. The body panels are handmade, mild steel with Zeus fasteners. The nose, tail and cowl hood are fiberglass. Headlights, turn signals, brake lights and proper State police inspection indicate this vehicle to be street legal. It has a Grant racing 3-spoke padded steering wheel, a 5 pt. Simpson racing harness, custom made blue vinyl bucket seat, fuel cell and mounted fire extinguisher. It has front disc brakes and 11 drum rear brakes, dual-power master cylinder. Hoosier radials GT. This vehicle has passed an NSRA 23-point safety inspection, and was appraised 02/1999.
This vehicle was built for the sole purpose of participating in parades and car shows. It has never been raced nor wrecked. Since completion 10 years ago it has been driven only 780 miles. It was created with painstaking detail and has been meticulously stored and maintained the entire time. The vehicle looks and runs as flawlessly today as it did ten years ago. The vehicle was titled as a 1948 but was actually hand built in the late 1980s.
