Description
Featured in the July '99 issue of Mustang Illustrated, when first completed, "The WHOR$E" is a replica of the cars used in NASCAR's GT division raced in late 60's, early 70's. Raced occasionally in VARA/COCOA/Shelby events, the car has low miles and has never been wrecked or abused. Car is WICKED fast, handles superbly and is very maintenance friendly. As a fan of "Smokey" and Junior Johnson, there is a lot of "creative engineering" some of which I will only share with the new owner. Engine and trans have one open track session (Cobra Club @ Willow Springs) since rebuild in '04. Best of everything used in construction and many ideas originated in this car are commonly being used today. Painted in a two-tone silver over blue metallic, reminiscent of the 60's stock car color schemes, this thoroughbred is also very pleasing to the eye, as evidenced by the many car show trophies it has garnered. As a NASCAR "Baby Grand" it is also very unique in the world of vintage race cars. Price is 95K. Serious inquiries only. 760-379-5185 Noon - 6pm PST |
