Description
One of 318 total KR convertibles produced, and one of just 267 4 speed cars, the KR convertibles are not only a truly rare car, but also an incredibly rare Shelby! This car is Shelby American #4147, well documented in not only the Shelby World Registry, but also with ownership history,important paperwork such as the original tags, warranty card, books, and vintage photographs. In fact, 4147 has a very interesting story. As luck would have it, 4147 was there and ready for a test drive. After getting pulled over for "burning rubber" on the way out of the dealership (and subsequently being let go by an amused and understanding officer! ), she purchased the KR. In a recent letter from her, 4147's first owner recalled how much they all loved the car - and also how much she just didn't want to know about what happened when her boys took it on dates way back when! A fantastic original car with all original panels, 4147 has been lovingly cared for over the years and while not being restored, could certainly pass for it! An older very high quality repaint still looks great, and the undercarriage and engine compartment have recently been detailed.
